All MINOR SCALES:
natural - harmonic - melodic

Here are the three forms of all of the minor scale. For the sake of keeping things uncluttered, Key Signatures are used in these examples.

As you become familiar with Key Signatures, it will be easier to remember and play the different forms of the minor scales.

NATURAL MINOR: just follow the key signature - no added sharps or flats.

HARMONIC MINOR: raise the 7th scale degree ascending and descending.

MELODIC MINOR: raise the 6th and 7th scale degrees when ascending, and lower (as per key signature) when descending.
